Bare Bones Raw Strength
Pure, muscular strength is vitally important for a great life and great health.  Healthy, strong people are a dying breed.  Little skinny men in tight jeans and women who can’t take lids off jars are everywhere!  The world is filling up with weak people.  Muscle mass is important for being a useful person, looking great and maintaining a healthy metabolism.  At Barebones Barbell, we don’t sit around admiring ourselves in mirrors, trying to score dates at the water cooler or doing endless repetitions on a machine of strange movements we read about in a magazine.  We load weight onto barbells and we lift.  We squat, deadlift, press, bench, and power clean.  We push and we pull. We grip and we carry. We use correct technique and smart programming.  We keep it simple, we work hard, we enjoy doing it.  Everyone here has one very specific goal: get strong and do it safely.

6 Week Raw Strength Series April 23rd, 2012 - May 30th, 2012

Ask someone how they feel about lifting heavy weights and chances are you'll get one of two answers:  "I love it" or "I hate it!"  As we all know, the basis of wellness and performance is muscle and strength. Lifting is kind of like brushing your teeth...even if you don't enjoy it, you do it to be healthy, hot and functional.  The Bare Bones Barbell Raw Strength Series is designed for Lovers of Lifting as well as those of you who have a more complicated relationship with lifting.

The Raw Strength Series is a chance for developing strength and weight lifting "know-how".  Regardless of your experience level these twice weekly sessions are designed to challenge, educate and empower each individual - all while getting you STRONG!!  This series will include the basic bread and butter strength lifts like the deadlift, the squat, and the presses.  There will be equal emphasis on pushing and pulling movements as well as assistance lifts designed to target your weaknesses. If you have a solid strength base already, this Series will enable you to add to your PRs and work on your weaknesses.  If you've never held a barbell and can hardly toss a phone book, get ready to have fun!!

The Bare Bones Barbell Raw Strength Series meets on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. The next series will be starting on April 23rd.  The Raw Strength Series is open to current members and non-members and is compatible with most other training programs, including endurance training.  There are opportunities to make up a missed session.
